In short, the answer is no. Good face mists might be exactly what your skincare and makeup routine are missing, especially if you have been travelling.
Not only are face mists the perfect way to refresh and on the go, but they are packed full of nutrients to give you skin a healthy spring glow.
Here are some of the latest face mists to try as the weather warms up.
For congested or oily skin:
Nu Skin NaPCA Moisture Mist (RRP $23.00)
This mist is perfect for skin on the oily side of the spectrum but still provides a dewy finish. The spray is enriched with NaPCA and hyaluronic acid to bind moisture to the skin but doesn’t contain any oils so it won’t clog pores.
Tip: You can also spray this mist on the hair, as it acts as a static repellent to stop it from frizzing up.
For travelers:
SkinStitut Multi-Active Mist (RRP $49.00)
This 2in1 product acts as both a toner and a hydrating mist, making it a great travel companion when it comes to reducing baggage weight.
The toner offers antioxidant protection and helps relieve redness while the botanical ingredients like aloe vera help to nourish and pamper the skin. The bottle is also only 100ml which means it can be taken on planes and used as a mid-flight refresher.
For no-nonsense women:
L’Occitane Aqua Reotier (RRP $29.00)
In it’s tightly compact aerosol bottle, this mist is perfect for women who are always on the go.
The scent is beautifully refreshing, and acts as the perfect pick-me-up in the morning if sprayed before makeup. Alternatively, keep the mist on the office desk to be used as a revival during that 4pm energy crash.
For the Organic Beauty Lover:
Nugget x Charlie Revitalise Face Mist (RRP $49.00)
This mist was the original product in the Happiness range, created by Australian Celebrity Film & TV Make-up Artist, Nugget Mccabe.
The spray is Australian Certified Organic and Vegan meaning it contains no nasties or chemicals that will damage the skin. Key ingredients include orange blossom, aloe vera and apricot oil which make it smell sensational. This spray is also perfect for resetting makeup after a workout and to rehydrate the skin in an airconditioned room.
For dry or dehydrated skin:
Beauté Pacifique Superfruit Hydrating Face Mist (RRP $52.00)
These days everyone knows the benefits of eating superfoods, but why not harness their power by incorporating them into skincare?
Danish skincare brand, Beauté Pacifique have done just by infusing their mist with lingonberry fruit extract, a new superfruit. The fruit has a high polyphenol, antioxidant and antiinflammatory content that helps keep the skin’s moisture retention and clarity.
For Makeup Lovers:
Covergirl Outlast Active All-Day Setting Mist (RRP $15.95)
Another duel action product, this refreshing mist also acts as a setting spray when applied over makeup. The microfine texture enables it to be smudge-proof, transfer-proof and humidity-proof, ensuring that the makeup stays in place all day.
While this is just as light and fine as the other face mists, it is important to note that it is first and foremost a makeup setting spray, so it does leave the skin feeling slightly sticky when first applied.
