Margot Robbie is always travelling, and not just for work. The blonde Barbie star is the most well known woman in the world right now, thanks to the phenomenal success of the Barbie movie which has so far grossed over $1 billion in ticket sales alone.

Margot Robbie is a 33-year-old Australian-born actress and producer and has become one of the world’s biggest and most iconic actors within the last few years. She is known for her legendary performances not just in the new Barbie movie, but also in Suicide Squad, The Wolf of Wall Street and  I, Tonya.

One thing Margot talks about a lot in interviews  is that she is a big traveller, for both work and pleasure. She grew up on the Gold Coast in northern Australia, but has spread her wings far and wide since then.

She skis, and enjoys tropical islands with luxury accommodation and remote locations as much as more glamorous and busy locations including European cities.

She says she has already had some of the most unforgettable travelling experiences around the world – and there can only be a lot more to come for her.

Here are some of the best places Margot Robbie loves;

Margot loves all things English, and even her film producer husband, Tom Ackerley, 33 is English, hailing from trendy Surrey in England’s South West.

She lived in London’s south west in 2014, when The Wolf of Wall Street was released, in a large house in Clapham with six roommates when her acting career was just taking off.

She often references the local Clapham night club Inferno as having been a favourite.

“Clapham has always felt unassuming in the sense that you’re just left alone to get on with who you are, and that’s perfect. But I like living with lots of people.”

Margot married in Australia and returned to live in west London with her husband before relocating to Los Angeles.

She doesn’t hide her love for the UK reality TV show Love Island, even hosting one of her birthday parties as Love Island themed.

If you’re looking to visit one of Margot’s favourite cities, London has some of the most luxurious hotels and experiences. Although it isn’t known where she stays ( possibly with her husband’s family), The Mandarin Oriental in Hyde Park is a prestigious 5-star, absolutely breathtaking hotel hugely popular with celebrities. Everyone from Taylor Swift, to Morgan Freeman, Tom Cruise, Helen Mirren, the late Queen Elizabeth and Rhianna have stayed there. Tahiti is one of the most beautiful islands in the world. So it’s no surprise that it’s on Margot Robbie’s travel list. Margot spent her honeymoon in breathtaking The Brando, the luxury resort on French Polynesia’s Tetiaro Island that can cost up to approximately $7,400 per night.

On The Ellen Show in 2018, Margot revealed an awkward encounter with Ellen, her wife, and the one and only Obama on her honeymoon.

During their time in Tahiti, Margot told her husband he could not wear his swimming shorts because she could see everything through them , her husband Tom replied. “Oh c’mon. Who are we going to run into?” It turns out the newlyweds ran into Obama, DeGeneres and De Rossi working out in the hotels gym.

The Brando is a world-class resort with some of the most authentic Tahitian experiences. Polynesian people guide you through their lands, and you can interact with species of land and marine wildlife, birds, and plant life that exist only on Tetiaroa.

It’s safe to say that staying at The Brando is an unforgettable experience, from world-class dining by famed French chef Jean Imbert to unique beachside villas with incredible views.

Margot also visited to volunteer for Rise Above Foundation Cebu, focusing on improving the quality of life for underprivileged families in Cebu, Philippines. Here she helped feed children in Cebu with the people she travelled with.

She shared her love for the Philippines during her time on social media, Loboc River in Bohol being one of the iconic locations.

One of the best resorts in the Philippines rests on the hidden gem, Siargao Island. Nay Palad Hideaway is an all-inclusive resort that will make you feel spoilt with luxury, nurtured and loved by the end of your trip. The villas range from approximately $2,000 to $7160 per the minimum two nights.

Margot always has good taste, and for a romantic getaway with her husband, Tom Ackerly, she chose one of the most popular celebrity spots in Mexico for one-on-one time.

Riviera Nayarit, a favourite beach town from the dating show Bachelor in Paradise. We all know Margot loves her reality TV shows, especially Love Island, so it is no surprise.

Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta have been popular hideouts for A-list and reality TV stars, which is possibly why it is on Margot’s travel locations. The Sierra Madre mountains and the Bay of Banderas surround both towns.

Margot stayed at the exclusive One&Only Mandarina. Mandarina is set in a tropical rainforest, where their villas and treehouses are built to nature’s blueprint, leaving the surroundings completely undisturbed. This ultra-exclusive resort starts at around $1,500 per night.

Chilling by the poolside, located in the Mandarina development, is something Margot loves and is sure to make for a relaxing and gorgeous vacation in Mexico.

While San Juan Del Sur isn’t a celebrity hotspot, it is one of the best and craziest surfing spots in the world. Margot’s holiday in San Juan Del Sur is definitely not for everyone, but who doesn’t like a challenge, an adventurous one at least?

Margot went on a nine-day surfer’s retreat in 2014 with a group of friends. Between a once-in-a-lifetime experience on the waves, she went for hikes, zip-lined, and of course, did daily yoga.

Margot led her friend group and those on the surf retreat in nail painting and water-gun fights.

Margot and her friends stayed at Cloud Farm, a private jungle villa on the hills above San Juan Del Sur that accommodates seven in large rooms open to a breathtaking view with an infinity pool.

1,200 feet above the bay, it is a relaxing open-air hideaway, much cooler and quieter than in town, so it’s perfect to kick back between surf sessions. It is the ultimate surfer girl trip and one for new experiences.
