Renae speaks here from Meribel in France about luxury travel and what has been happening this vibrant ski season in this ultra luxury five star ski resort.
Founded by Scottsman Peter Lindsay in the 1930s, Meribel was originally conceptualised and designed for the British. This was at a time when the English were moving away from Australian ski resorts due to that country’s relationship with Germany.
Today the resort is frequented by some of the world’s most successful people from movie stars to F1 drivers and more.
They flock here in winter for the incredible ski-ing and the resort’s position in the heart of the three Valleys, meaning you can ski to 7 different resorts from Meribel – and there is ski-ing for all levels.
The hotels including le Cou Cou, are five star and some of the French Alp’s best with luxe designs, spas, top end restaurants and some of the most magnificent views in Europe.
