But she has been a source of inspiration for many people who have had their own battles with cancer, and her focus on plant based healthy diet and clean living has led to the creation of  new range of products.

Throughout her health battles, she has always combined eastern and western medicine, and spoken openly about the importance of a plant based diet and very low sugar.

She does yoga, meditation ad reike. Her husband John Easterling runs his own herbal company in California, and even grows medicinal cannibas to help heal the sick.

So it is no surprise Olivia Newton John is the latest Australian celebrity to release her own skincare range.

But with Livvy, it is a bit different to your average celebrity endorsement, as she has been on the organic, healthy food and skincare bandwagon for years.

In 2005 she opened the multi award winning Gaia Retreat and Spa, with support from her close group friends.

She has spent two years working on the range which is packed with Australian natives, so full of antioxidants and natural, healing ingredients including Omega 3 and Omega 9,

The 10 products in the new range  are potent and active, and made using  a technique called cellular extraction to maximise inclusion of natural ingredients. They are designed to use in the harsh Australian environment.

Retreatment Botanics is also vegan and palm oil free.

The range is presented beautifully in black packaging – and the range is used at Gaia.

Olivia has often talked about the importance of simplicity and doing things within your day that are simple and that you enjoy. She is living on a ranch with her partner in the USA recovering from her illness, where eating eggs fresh from the chickens is a daily ritual.

In a similar way, perhaps this is a way to bring the nature and incredible healing powers of Byron Bay where Gaia Retreat is located into your home add every day city life. Click here for more on Retreatment Botanics.
