The Key to Sexy, Smooth, Silky Post-Holiday Hair

Two products I’ve just tried & tested that really work for great hair.

Travel really takes its toll on my hair – the changes in water, weather and the long stints on aircraft dry it out and make it brittle. It is something I have to address every time I land back in Australia in the struggle to have smooth, silky hair that is hassle free.

I have super fine hair – and lots of it, so it tangles a lot and can get very dry on the ends. Pantene sent me their new Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo and Pantene Pro-V 3 Minute Miracle Daily Moisture Renewal Conditioner to try.

Together, the shampoo and conditioner promise to remove 3 months worth of damage with regular use.

Seen here in Rome, Renae has very fine hair, but lots of it.

The first thing I noticed was that both products smell amazing, making them a pleasure to use. Pantene have obviously changed their fragrance formula, and this is feminine, and strong but not overbearing. Being single, and being a mum, the fragrance of my hair is really important to me as I always want to look and feel groomed.

The shampoo was great and removed the oil from my scalp quickly in two washes. As soon as the conditioner went on, it smoothed the cuticles of my hair – it was amazing how quickly it happened. The ends of my hair became smooth and silky as I applied it.

I left it on for 3 minutes after gently massaging it in, and by the time I washed it off, my hair was super smooth and silky. I didn’t even need to run a comb through it – it was that smooth. In the shower after rinsing out the conditioner, my hair actually felt younger like it did in my early 20s. I was very surprised.

My hair was so much more manageable. The blow drying process was much easier, and faster with such smooth, silky hair, as I didn’t have to spend the usual 5 minutes fighting with knots and then trying to smooth it out with the dryer for another 20. It probably cut the grooming and drying time in half.

When I picked up my son for a cuddle later that day, even he commented on the fragrance. When I asked him what it smelt like, he said: “nice, bright, spring flowers.”

For thin hair like mine, these products are amazing and a great tip for silky hair. Hopefully they’ll come out in travel sizes so I can take them with me on my next trip to try and prevent my hair from being damaged.
