The Spanish Melia Group will open Chiang Mai’s newest five star luxury urban hotel this year.

The upscale 260 room five star urban hotel in the heart of Chiang Mai will open at the end of this year, packed with luxurious extras bringing together the essence of wellness, indulgence and luxury for the discerning traveller.

Ignoring the global pandemic, the hugely successful Melia hotel group (owned by Asset World Corporation) with more than 350 hotels and resorts around the world globally, is opening one of Asia’s most exciting five star hotel offerings this year.

This latest property in Chiang Mai promises to be a drawcard for well heeled and well travelled guests to Chiang Mai.

Located overlooking the River Ping, and the bustling night bazaar, the new Melia Chiang Mai will have a striking 22 floor tower with an adjoining seven floor podium building. The interior design will draw on the company’s Spanish origins with natural tones, light filled rooms, exposed brick, and a modern, eclectic, rustic feel.

The hotel’s highlight will be the highest bar in Chiang Mai, designed on the 22nd floor with two extraordinary bars connected by a striking glass bridge, with 360 degree views. The hotel’s restaurants will pay homage to Spain’s famed gastronomy with two upscale dining options.

Perched on the 21^st floor, the hotel’s signature restaurant will specialize in contemporary Northern Thai dishes with Mediterranean influences, with chefs freshly preparing dishes from an open kitchen.

The all-day-dining restaurant Mosaic will offer an authentic but diverse Mediterranean menu in a vibrant marketplace setting.

The spacious 113sqm Presidential Suite will have spectacular views, and in addition there will be 38 upscale rooms and suites to form part of “The Level”, an exclusive section of the hotel with The Level executive lounge packed with added benefits.
