Spice Temple is one of Sydney’s most famous underground restaurants.

Hidden behind a giant door on Blight Street in the Sydney CBD, guests are made to walk down a flight of stairs to which at the bottom they are met with the buzz and moody red lighting of Spice Temple.

The intimate dining space has an oriental-style atmosphere to accompany the Chinese inspired menu.

Neil Perry, owner of Spice Temple, specifically chose to centre the menu around the food of lesser known Chinese provinces such as Sichuan, Yunnan, Hunan, Jiangxi, Guangxi and Xingjiang.
