The Pillars Sydney has appointed Kieron Hunt, a luxury hotel expert as General Manager.
Sydney’s private members’ club scene has just taken a decisive step forward. The Pillars, one of the city’s most exclusive new clubs, has appointed internationally acclaimed luxury hospitality executive Kieron Hunt as General Manager—signalling a clear intent to operate at a truly global standard.
Still in its inaugural year, The Pillars has quickly positioned itself as one of Sydney’s most talked about private members’ clubs. With Hunt now at the helm, the club is entering its next phase—refining its offering, elevating its service culture, and cementing its place among the Asia-Pacific’s most sophisticated private institutions.
With more than 25 years of experience across the world’s leading luxury hotels and lifestyle brands, Hunt brings a level of operational precision and leadership rarely seen in the Australian private club space.

His career spans some of the most prestigious names in global hospitality, including The Peninsula Hotels, Shangri-La Group, InterContinental Hotels Group, Hilton, Ovolo Hotels, and The Murray Hong Kong—each known for delivering exceptional, high-touch guest experiences.
Most recently, Hunt worked with the Walker Group, contributing his expertise across the group’s commercial and investment portfolio. During this time, he also undertook leadership secondments at Kokomo Private Island Fiji—widely regarded as one of the South Pacific’s most exclusive ultra-luxury destinations—further strengthening his credentials in managing elite, experience-driven environments.

Set within one of Sydney’s most distinguished heritage buildings, in the heart of the city’s luxury retail and financial precinct, The Pillars opened last year as a contemporary private members’ club designed for leaders across business, culture and the creative industries.
Since launching, it has built a reputation for its discreet yet dynamic atmosphere—where refined hospitality meets curated programming and meaningful connection.
Hunt’s appointment marks a pivotal moment. It reflects a commitment not only to excellence in service, but to creating a deeper sense of community—an essential ingredient in the modern private members’ club.
“Private members’ clubs occupy a unique space in hospitality,” Hunt explains. “They are defined not simply by service, but by community, culture and trust. What drew me to The Pillars is the opportunity to shape an environment where members feel a genuine sense of belonging, while experiencing the highest level of hospitality and discretion.”
He continues, “The club has already built extraordinary momentum in its first year. My focus now is to deepen that experience—ensuring every interaction reflects the care, consistency and attention to detail that define the world’s best private institutions.”
Known for his calm authority and meticulous approach, Hunt’s leadership style is grounded in professionalism, stewardship and service excellence. Over the course of his career, he has built high-performing teams and fostered cultures defined by respect, integrity and precision—qualities that will be critical as The Pillars continues to evolve.

Co-Founder Steve Grace describes the appointment as a defining moment for the club. “Kieron’s international perspective, operational depth and instinctive understanding of private club culture make him the ideal leader for this next chapter. As we move beyond our launch phase, his leadership will be instrumental in refining and elevating the experience for our members.”
Looking ahead, The Pillars is set to expand its programming, enhance its hospitality offering and deepen its cultural partnerships—further reinforcing its ambition to become one of the most respected private members’ clubs not just in Sydney, but across the Asia-Pacific region.
With Kieron Hunt at the helm, The Pillars is no longer just one of Sydney’s newest clubs—it is rapidly becoming one of its most important.
