Mexico is the focus of Pommery’s 2025 world collection. A Mexican ode to colour, craft, and celebration

Mexico is certainly having its moment in the world of luxury hotels and luxury branding, and now Champagne Pommery is also riding the trend.

In a dazzling fusion of heritage and artistry, Champagne Pommery has unveiled its latest masterpiece — the 2025 World Collection, inspired by the radiant soul of Mexico.

Known globally for its daring approach to blending tradition with creativity, the Maison once again demonstrates that champagne can transcend taste to become an experience — one steeped in emotion, craftsmanship, and cultural storytelling.

From early November, discerning collectors and champagne lovers will be able to discover the new limited-edition range, in which four iconic Pommery cuvées — Brut Royal, Rosé Royal, Blanc de Blancs, and the prestigious Grand Cru 2015 vintage — are reimagined through a vivid celebration of Mexican artistry.

A Portrait of Mexico in Champagne Form

Mexico has long captivated the imagination of artists and travellers alike — a kaleidoscope of colour, from hand-painted talavera tiles to the spirited patterns of traditional textiles. The 2025 Pommery World Collection channels this rich tapestry of influences through design and detail. Each bottle is enveloped in vibrant floral motifs and traditional iconography symbolic of fertility, rebirth, and unity — a joyful union of cultural expression and the effervescent spirit of champagne.

Mexico’s luxury travel scene is flourishing, as the country welcomes a wave of new high-end openings that redefine sophistication from coast to capital. On the Pacific side, Rosewood Mandarina in Riviera Nayarit has opened as a tropical sanctuary with private plunge pools, five dining venues and deep ties to indigenous Huichol and Cora artistry.

Nearby, Amanvari in Baja’s East Cape — launching later this year — will pair minimalist architecture with desert tranquility on the Sea of Cortés. In Quintana Roo, Banyan Tree Veya Bacalar now offers waterside villas and holistic wellbeing programs on the fabled Lagoon of Seven Colors, while the Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo del Sol, the brand’s first in Mexico, brings seaside glamour with villas, golf access and a 59,000‑square‑foot spa.

On the Caribbean front, the St. Regis Costa Mujeres Resort is set to open north of Cancún with 158 suites, 80 branded residences and the signature butler service for which the brand is famed. Tulum welcomes the vibrant Mondrian Tulum Hotel & Residences, offering bohemian interiors, four dining venues and 151 designer residences.

The eco‑forward Kimpton Tres Ríos debuts as the brand’s first all‑inclusive, spanning 340 acres of preserved jungle and cenotes with seven restaurants and five bars. Looking ahead, boutique gems like the Dream Valle de Guadalupe in Mexico’s wine region and Milaroca — A Belmond Hotel on the Riviera Nayarit will expand the nation’s reputation for experiential design, fusing natural landscapes with timeless craftsmanship to cement Mexico’s standing as Latin America’s most dynamic luxury destination.

“The 2025 World Collection radiates the warmth, colour, and craft of Mexico,” says Inge Fransen, Chief Executive Officer of Vranken-Pommery Australia. “It honours Madame Pommery’s adventurous spirit — her belief that champagne is not bound by place but belongs to the world, wherever people gather to celebrate life.”

From the scarlet blooms of the marigold — a flower revered in Mexican celebrations — to the intricate lacework patterns drawn from folk embroidery, the design is both opulent and meaningful. The collection invites the eye to wander and the mind to wander further still — to the plazas of Oaxaca, the beaches of Tulum, and the mountain skies of Chiapas.

A Heritage of Visionary Craft

The story of Champagne Pommery began in 1836 in Reims, France. Yet it was Madame Louise Pommery, a pioneer of refinement and foresight, who transformed the house into the powerhouse of elegance it is today. Widowed at thirty-nine, she steered the Maison toward global acclaim, creating the world’s first “Brut” Champagne in 1874 — a drier style that redefined luxury for generations to come.

Madame Pommery was also a patron of art and culture, transforming her chalk cellars — the historic crayères — into an underground gallery of monumental sculptures. Ever the traveller, she named the galleries after great world cities, from London to Cairo, Tokyo to Buenos Aires. The spirit of exploration and connection she fostered continues to shape the Maison’s philosophy to this day.

It is in this spirit of cultural discovery that the Pommery World Collection was born — a series of annual limited-edition releases that celebrate a different nation each year, uniting artistry, design, and the timeless elegance of champagne.

A Global Journey in Design

Since its inception, the World Collection has served as a visual passport to the world. The early editions drew from Asia’s mystical textures: the Indian-inspired 2019 collection featured paisley motifs layered in gold filigree, while 2021 honoured Indonesia’s artistry with a striking batik pattern wrapped in lush indigo hues. In 2023, the Tibetan mandala became the muse — a design that celebrated mindfulness and cosmic balance, echoing the swirling effervescence within each flute.

Through these annual tributes, Pommery merges heritage and modernity in equal measure. Each design is developed in collaboration with artisans and cultural experts, ensuring authenticity while interpreting traditions through a contemporary lens. The result is not just a bottle, but a collectible artwork — a sensory souvenir of global beauty.

The 2025 Cuvées: Icons Reimagined

The four cuvées in this year’s collection exemplify Pommery’s mastery of expression and balance.

Pommery Brut Royal NV
The House’s emblematic blend, Brut Royal embodies finesse and freshness. Crafted from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, it opens with fragrant bursts of citrus and white flowers, underscored by subtle red berry notes. Its lively palate and graceful finish make it a staple for celebration — now dressed in a joyful Mexican bloom.

Pommery Brut Rosé NV
A study in charm and delicacy, the Brut Rosé brims with bright red berry aromas and a graceful, rounded texture. Its pink hue and floral lift mirror the festive essence of its new design — a visual echo of Mexico’s vibrancy and the living poetry of its fiestas.

Pommery Apanage Blanc de Blancs NV
This cuvée, a pure expression of Chardonnay, glows in pale gold with glints of green. Fresh jasmine, citrus, and acacia intertwine with the fine sparkle of spring. The 2025 design inflects this elegance with a celebration of renewal, invoking the rebirth of seasons and the cyclical beauty of nature, a theme dear to Mexican artisanship.

Pommery Grand Cru 2015 Vintage
For collectors, the Grand Cru 2015 stands as the pinnacle of Pommery’s savoir-faire. A composition of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from seven iconic grands crus, it reveals a complex bouquet of honeysuckle, dried fig, and brioche. After nine years in the cellar, its harmony of depth and freshness encapsulates what Pommery has always stood for — precision, patience, and poise.

A Celebration Without Borders

The 2025 World Collection invites the world to celebrate through the universal language of champagne. Whether as a luminous Christmas gift or the centrepiece of a midnight toast to the new year, it captures the season’s spirit of connection and joy. Each bottle serves as a reminder of the Maison’s mission: to bring the world together, one effervescent moment at a time.

As the world turns its gaze to Mexico for this year’s inspiration, the essence of Pommery endures — elegance in innovation, rooted in legacy, fearless in imagination. Madame Pommery once mused that champagne “should be light as air and joyful as laughter.” The 2025 World Collection fulfills that promise, bridging old-world artistry and new-world spirit in one radiant, celebratory flourish.

The limited-edition collection will be available from early November through Dan Murphy’s, Vintage Cellars, Liquorland, and select fine wine retailers across Australia — a toast to those who, like Madame Pommery herself, believe that every celebration deserves its own story.
