Collaborations are still hot in the world of luxury in 2021, with one of Australia’s newest fashion designers joining forces with one of the world’s greatest single malt scotch whiskey brands.
Afterpay Australian Fashion Week (AAFW) Rising Star Jordan Dalah had an inspiring debut last week, and all at just 28 years of age.
The designs and passions of the former Reddam School student are so impressive that the world’s most awarded single malt scotch whiskey brand Glenfiddich have announced a significant collaboration with him.
The unique relationship will include a limited edition packaging whiskey as well as a luxury gown designed by Dalah inspired by Glenfiddich expressions.
Dalah celebrated his successful debut at AAFW with Glenfiddich’s newest expression, Grand Cru. As the label suggests, it is an exclusive, high end whisky matured for 23 years and elegantly finished in rare French cuvée oak procured from the Champagne region in France to create a unique and rich flavoured whiskey.
Glenfiddich ambassador Ross Blainey explains; “Dalah celebrated his successful debut at AAFW with Glenfiddich’s newest expression, Grand Cru – an exclusive whisky matured for 23 years and elegantly finished in rare French cuvée oak.
This will be the first expression the collaboration will reimagine.”
Glenfiddich’s partnership with Dalah is the first time the Global brand has engaged an Australian designer to elevate its story.
“The opportunity to open AAFW this year, the first physical Fashion Week since the pandemic began, was such a privilege,” Dalah reflected.
“I am so excited to work with Glenfiddich on my creative journey as a designer and share my vision as we collaborate on future creative endeavours.”
