Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta Review, the luxury five star stay that makes four days feel like eight.

Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta stands as a beacon of refined luxury, and an escape amid the city’s relentless skyline and daily hustle and bustle. This is a hotel that has been meticulously designed to cater to every luxury traveller’s needs and wants, and is cleverly designed so there is no need to ever leave.

This 27-storey tower, cloaked in glass and graced with works from Indonesia’s finest artists, delivers the brand’s hallmark unbridled luxury to well-heeled business travellers, romance-seeking couples, and discerning holidaymakers. This would also be a brilliant hotel for a girls weekend in the lap of luxury before flying to Bali.

From its stunningly instagrammable interiors, to one of Jakarta’s best breakfasts (both in quality and value for money) to a Sunday brunch that is simply extraordinary in presentation and flavours. A liquid high tea featuring local honey that is beautifully presented, well priced and even offers wellness benefits.

A wellness centre with staff who have been experts for over two decades, and serve fresh ginger tea after treatments, and complimentary wellness pods playing nature music for relaxation and a Bill Bensley designed pool that can only be described as an absolute oasis of calm.

Every facet of this hotel caters to luxury South East Asian city style with a side of serenity. Rooms are huge and plush, with lavish amenities , sublime service and my bath was used daily.

For luxury seekers, this isn’t just a hotel—it’s Jakarta’s pinnacle.Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta isn’t a stay—it’s a statement. In a city of concrete clamor, it crafts unbridled luxury: extraordinary interiors at Palm Court and Alto, outstanding food capped by Liquid Gold’s honeyed glory, soothing spa pods, and service that spoils. Ideal for business power plays, romantic idylls, or art-infused leisure, it outpaces rivals like Mandarin Oriental or Ritz-Carlton.

Overall Rating: 9.5/10

Palm Court Four Seasons Jakarta

Extraordinary Interiors: Artistry Meets Architectural Drama 10/10

Walking into tje lobby of Four Seasons Jakarta is a bit like stepping into a gallery disguised as a hotel. Towering ceilings abound, with curated art pieces by top Indonesian talents adorning walls and alcoves, from abstract batiks to sculptural evocations of archipelago heritage.

Public spaces unfold like opulent stage sets: soaring atriums flooded with natural light, marble floors gleam under bespoke chandeliers, and lush greenery nods to Bali’s rice terraces amid urban steel.

Palm Court dazzles with extraordinary ceiling lights, green tropical motifs in teak and rattan frame an all-day dining arena where local flavors shine. Think gilded accents against verdant backdrops, evoking a refined pasar malam.

Alto Restaurant & Bar soars higher, its panoramic perch wrapped in extraordinary glass walls revealing Jakarta’s glittering sprawl. Italianate elegance prevails: velvet banquettes, brass fixtures, and open kitchens where chefs orchestrate pasta mastery.

These spaces don’t just impress—they immerse, earning collective design acclaim

Culinary Symphony: Sensational Food and Liquid Gold High Tea 9.5/10

Dining here transcends sustenance, becoming theatre and an instagrammer’s dream. Palm Court has a breakfast menu that is as refreshingly intimidating as it is delicious. It is huge. There are three different buffets offering an array of salads, cold cuts, cheeses, sandwiches, and a room packed with pastries, cakes, fresh breads to be toasted and puddings.

The to-ordern menu is huge and there are no limits, plus everything is actually made to order – this is the ultimate five star breakfast buffet. Fresh juices and an array of coffees can also be ordered.

For lunch and dinner, Palm Court masters Indonesian classics with contemporary polish—rendang slow-braised to velvet, nasi goreng spiked with wagyu, Chinese clear lemon chicken broth soup, salads, Japanese miso and more. Everything is made fresh.

Alto is on the top floor and the striking red and gold interiors hint at the decadent high calibre food that is to come thanks to chef Riccardo Pellino who channels Italian finesse: handmade tagliatelle in truffle cream, USA and Australian rib eye steaks, and risottos creamy as sin, paired with Billecarte champagne by the glass and an array if wines both by the bottle and by the glass.

The Sunday brunch at Alto is an institution, with extraordinary seafood pasta made to order, a BBQ on the balcony overlooking the city, and a pastry tray that is simply jaw droppingly good. Live music is often featured as well.

But the crown jewel? Liquid Gold Afternoon Tea, one of Jakarta’s best. Served in The Patisserie surrounded by yellow bee filled flowers, it invokes happiness and this honey-centric ritual dazzles. Afternon tea begins with a honey drink with a golden flower inside and is followed by golden tiers brim with honeycomb-drizzled scones, propolis-infused macarons, lavender honey mini tarts, and an array of delicately made savories.

French Damman artisanal teas flow alongside champagne options. It’s opulent, Instagram-gold, and utterly addictive.

Nautilus is the extraordinary in-house bar which is super sophisticated and has a spice theme in a nod to Indonesia’s history as a spice trader. The menu is themed and regularly changes and offers amazing cocktails from the ever popular Indonesian negroni to a host of spiced themed creations.

Wellness Retreat: Soothing Nature Pods and Fitness Excellence 10/10

The spa is exceptional, and is a quiet, verdant oasis, expansive and therapeutic. Signature treatments span massages drawing on jamu traditions, facials with native turmeric, and full-body scrubs. Therapists are very experienced and excellent at reading the body. There are powerful steam rooms available to use before and after treatments.

Post-ritual, ginger tea awaits in the relaxation lounge. Standouts are the soothing nature pods: private light filled cocoons mimicking rainforest canopies, with cascading water walls, aromatic diffusers, and ambient bird calls inducing profound calm. Pair with therapeutic baths or sound healing for ultimate reset.

Adjoining, a 24-hour fitness center impresses—expansive stocked with top-tier Technogym kit, free weights, and Pelotons.

The Bill Bensley designed swimming pool is elegantly flanked by blue and white striped cabanas, with excellent service on hand and towers that are lit up at night creating a dramatically regal but relaxing vibe. The pool has city-framed horizons, and a very contemporary feel – again it is fabulous for instagram.

Palatial rooms at Four Seasons Jakarta

Palatial Rooms 10/10

Rooms are super opulent and span generous dimensions: 55sqm kings feel palatial, with sweeping marble wet-room bathrooms, double sinks for lovers, deep-soak tubs, and luxe Bali branded elixirs.

Suites amplify romance with plush king beds, turkish linens, Lavazza coffee machines, My Bar, a new global Four Seasons concept encouraging guests to mix their own cocktails, as well as a mini bottle of Billecarte, and local chocolates and nuts on hand.

Service: 9/10

Service? Sublime borders on telepathic at times. Staff anticipate: iced towels on arrival, turndown with local pralines, poolside mocktails and fresh fruit without asking.

Multilingual teams navigate Jakarta’s bustle flawlessly, from airport transfers to bespoke itineraries.

Prime Location and Sustainability Commitment 9/10

SCBD positioning is gold: five minutes to the stock exchange, 30 to Soekarno-Hatta Airport, adjacent to Pacific Place and Grand Indonesia for Gucci hauls and street-food detours. Walk to nightlife or Uber anywhere (9.5/10).

Sustainability weaves subtly: energy-efficient lighting, farm-to-table sourcing via local producers, zero-waste spa rituals, and art programs uplifting emerging Indonesian creators. Four Seasons’ global ethos shines—no plastic keys here, all digital.
