Cathay Pacific’s new 777 Aria suites have been much hypes, and are available for Australians from Sydney to Hong Kong.

Cathay Pacific’s all-new 777 Aria Suites are now taking to the skies between Sydney and Hong Kong, marking a significant upgrade for business class travelers.

As the airline continues to roll out its revamped Boeing 777s, passengers can now experience a whole new level of luxury and privacy on this flagship route. New tech is a big draw card of the new design with wireless phone charging blue tooth connection for your own headphones and smart seat pre-sets.

Cathay have looked to luxury car designs for inspiration, and it shows.

I have always felt standout feature of flying Cathay Pacific is its incredible lounge experience in Hong Kong International Airport. I was there for the opening of the revamped business and first-class lounges, some years ago including The Pier and The Wing, set a new standard for pre-flight luxury.

These lounges offer streamlined, elegant interiors, private relaxation spaces, high-end dining options, and showers to refresh before your flight with an incredible dining and drinks menu.

The first-class lounge experience at The Pier, in particular, is truly exceptional, featuring à la carte dining, private suites, and a tranquil atmosphere designed for ultimate relaxation.

What Makes Aria Suites Stand Out?

While Cathay Pacific’s traditional business class has always been a solid offering, the Aria Suites elevate comfort, style, and technology to new heights. Here’s what passengers can expect:

Sleek, modern interiors with premium materials and soft LED suite lighting
Thoughtful storage spaces, including a hidden nook for valuables and a side cabinet
Customizable seat presets for watching, working, dining, relaxing, or sleeping
Smart ambient lighting, including subtle “halo lighting” for a relaxed atmosphere

With Sydney becoming the second long-haul destination for the Aria Suites—after launching on the London route in January—Cathay Pacific is making a clear statement about the importance of the Australian market, and offering a real alternative for Australians when flying to Europe.

A Business Class Suite Like No Other

Designed in collaboration with London’s JPA Design, the Aria Suite takes inspiration from luxury car brands, seamlessly blending Cathay Pacific’s signature comfort with modern refinement.

Unlike other business class suites, the Aria Suite features gently curved walls for a more organic, enclosed feel. The angled seating layout ensures privacy even before the sliding door is closed, while the 1.25m-high wrap-around shell keeps the space intimate and exclusive.

The seat itself is 50cm wide, covered in plush woven wool for extra softness, and fully extends into a 195cm-long flatbed.

While the footwell is slightly more compact than in previous Cathay business class seats, and other business class seats, the infinitely adjustable armrest and extra shoulder space add to overall comfort.
