Experience upscale accommodation, gourmet dining, exceptional wellness services, and sustainable luxury at Aleenta Phuket Phang Nga Resort
There is nothing better than personalised, kind service, and the Thai people do it better than most. From a warm and kind airport pick up to a hand written leaf and ice cold Prosecco waiting on my bed, my stay at Aleenta Phuket was nothing short of sumptuous on every level.
Aleenta Phuket – Phang Nga Resort is perfectly located just north of the bustling island of Phuket, in the tranquil region of Phang Nga. This is a resort that offers as much or as little wellness as you would like, and plenty of relaxation, calm and peace within a luxury space.
Despite its proximity to Phuket—only 8 kilometres away—the resort feels a world away, offering guests an escape into serene, untouched beauty.
The 30-minute drive from Phuket International Airport makes this hidden gem easily accessible while still being far enough from the crowded tourist hubs to maintain its peaceful ambiance.
The resort’s beachfront position allows for breathtaking views of the Andaman Sea, where the gentle sound of the waves becomes a soothing daily soundtrack to any stay.
A walk along the beach at any of time of the day is a highlight of a stay. So much of the water in multiple locations in South East Asia cannot be swum in, but at Aleenta Phuket the ocean is crystal clear and perfect for swimming, walking and reflecting.
Additionally, its strategic location serves as a gateway to exploring the stunning natural wonders of southern Thailand, including extraordinary boat excursions to spectacular iconic sites like James Bond Island, known for its dramatic limestone cliffs and emerald waters.
Overall Rating: 9/10
Rooms: 9.5/10
Accommodation at Aleenta Phuket – Phang Nga Resort caters to luxury combined with privacy. The property features an array of options, including elegant hotel rooms and spacious standalone villas, many of which boast sweeping views of the sea.
The Beachfront Pool Suites are a highlight, providing direct access to the clean, white pristine beach alongside private pools for an exclusive, serene experience. These suites are designed to maximise comfort and style, featuring king-size beds, plush linens, a working desk, and ample wardrobe space.
Whilst the loft suites next to reception where I stayed are completely newly renovated (late 2024) and have steps from the suite into the large swimming pool with stunning views of the ocean. These rooms are amazingly calm at sunset – and one night it rained which was magical watching the rain fall into the pool on my doorstep. A plush king bed sits in the loft and a spacious lounge area and bathroom are on the entry level.
Thoughtful touches like a well-stocked minibar, tea and coffee-making facilities, a gorgeous Aleenta bag to use during the stay, a curated book collection, and Aleenta-branded flip-flops elevate the stay.
Sustainability is emphasised with the use of glass bottles over plastic and a linen change policy aimed at conserving water using a cute locally made wooden frog as a communication tool to cleaning staff. This seamless blend of opulence and environmental mindfulness enhances the feeling of indulgence without guilt.
Food and Beverage: 9/10
Dining at Aleenta is an experience that celebrates both global and local flavours, with the primary daily venue being The Edge restaurant. Here, guests can savour meals while basking in views of the pool and sandy shores.
A wellness menu is offered to guests wanting to focus on health, and I enjoyed this option for most meals. Fresh coconut water drunk straight from the coconut, grilled salmon with vegetables, and Thai larb gai salad were some of the menu highlights. There are even protein shakes.
The menu is varied, offering everything from nutritious wellness-focused dishes to indulgent Western and Thai cuisine. A highlight of the food experience is the comprehensive wellness menu, crafted to support balanced nutrition while allowing guests to delight in flavoursome meals.
During my stay, standout dishes included expertly prepared local prawns and steak, refreshing poke bowls, and classic Western breakfasts.
The Thai selections at The Edge showcased local Thai authentic flavours – and the chef made the dishes as hot and spicy or not as requested.
The resort’s plant based dining at The Seasons restaurant is sensational. The restaurant offers a degustation menu which is inspired by the Thai seasons of wet, cool and hotel, which can be paired with organic wines to match each course.
Using organic and sustainable principles, western classics as well as southern Thai classics are re-created using only plant based ingredients. The restaurant is open to guests outside the hotel as well.
To immerse in local culture, Aleenta offers fantastic cooking classes which I signed up for with the lovely in-house chef, where guests can learn to create traditional Thai dishes.
This hands-on experience was fantastic to learn insider Thai cooking secrets, and to find some recipes that are not overly time consuming or difficult ,but bursting with flavour.
Service: 9/10
The service at Aleenta Phuket – Phang Nga Resort is impeccable, marked by genuine warmth, friendliness and attentiveness. There is nothing better than being picked up by the hotel at the airport, which was the start to my luxury journey in this haven of peace and wellness.
From the moment guests arrive and are greeted with a refreshing welcome drink, snack, and cool towel, at the hotel itself, it is evident that the staff go above and beyond to create a memorable experience.
The team is attentive without being intrusive, always ready to assist with any request, whether it be arranging wellness treatments, booking excursions, or simply sharing local insights. I arrived having left my wallet in the flight -and the duty manager literally spent hours with me helping me source and retrieve it – this was so far beyond the regular call of duty.
Their dedication ensures that every guest feels valued and well cared for throughout their stay, adding a personal touch that enhances the overall experience.
I went on the amazing James Bond island tour with two staff, and this was an exceptional experience. I loved seeing the spectacular scenery, being ferried in a private boat, and the staff had plenty of cool towels, water and snacks, and lots of back stories about the history of the area, and the staff happily took as many photos as I needed.

Aleenta’s aesthetic is a harmonious blend of fresh, calming modern sophistication and natural elegance. The resort’s design features clean lines, open spaces, and large windows that frame the stunning views of the sea and lush greenery.
The interiors are predominantly white and thoughtfully curated, balancing contemporary luxury with warm, inviting elements. Earthy tones, natural wood, and stone accents create a seamless connection to the surrounding landscape.
The Loft and Beachfront Pool Suites and villas exemplify this style, offering spacious layouts and outdoor living areas that merge indoor comfort with the tranquility of the tropical setting. This seamless indoor-outdoor living fosters a sense of connection to nature while maintaining the utmost comfort and privacy.
Sustainability: 10/10
Sustainability is a cornerstone of Aleenta Phuket – Phang Nga Resort’s operations. The resort has implemented several eco-friendly practices to minimize its environmental footprint.
One of the standout efforts is the strict no single-use plastic policy, which is evident in the use of reusable glass bottles and biodegradable materials throughout the property. The toiletries provided in rooms are 100% natural, aligning with the resort’s commitment to eco-conscious luxury.
Aleenta also composts organic waste, recycles diligently, and utilises natural water treatment systems. Energy-efficient building designs make use of natural light and ventilation to reduce electricity consumption, showcasing a thoughtful integration of sustainability with high-end hospitality.
Spa and Wellness: 9/10
The Ayurah Spa & Wellness Centre at Aleenta is a haven for holistic rejuvenation. The spa offers a wide array of treatments tailored to meet individual needs, with skilled therapists who go beyond standard practices.
During my stay, an hour-long oil massage was a transformative experience, blending elements of massage and physiotherapy to target muscle tension. The therapist’s expertise and knowledge turned the session into an luxurious treatment.
I also did a sound healing session, which I loved. It is an ancient practice that uses vibrational frequencies to promote deep relaxation and emotional balance. Additionally, body composition analysis and personalised wellness programs was insightful and helpful to ensure my comprehensive journey to health and well-being.
The gym is located at the front of the property and has all of the basics, and muay thai boxing is a great way to raise the heart beat – I had a one on one class.
In summary, Aleenta Phuket – Phang Nga Resort is a luxurious and thoughtfully designed destination that seamlessly blends modern comfort with traditional Thai hospitality.
From the idyllic beachfront location and well-appointed accommodations to the exceptional dining options, top-notch service, and a spa that rivals the best in holistic wellness.
Aleenta offers a complete experience. The resort’s (and founders) commitment to sustainability adds to its appeal, making it a standout choice for travellers seeking an upscale, eco-conscious retreat in one of Thailand’s most beautiful settings.
