Singapore’s Newest Hotel, Mono, The Black and White Hotel

Singapore’s newest addition to it’s boutique hotel stable – Hotel Mono, is more fashion piece than hotel.

The black and white bathrooms are striking.

It was designed by Singapore’s own Spacedge Designs, the much lauded and awarded interiors and architectural firm who are renowned for modern, cutting edge designs that don’t cost a bomb. It is super slick, clean and sophisticated and the entire interior colour palette is black and white.

Clean lines are a consistent architectural feature.

Set in six historical shop houses, the feel is masculine, but the bathrooms are mostly HUGE with gorgeous black and white tiling, huge baths and slick fit outs.

The original colonial windows add a touch of femininity.

The building’s original Rococo windows have been maintained echoing Singapore’s colonial history, and adding just a touch of feminine architecture to what is a very modern interior design display.

The ultra modern design features 46 differently designed rooms, including spacious family rooms, with black and white the consistent theme. Located on Mosque street, this is slick but value for money accommodation. Very instagram friendly.

Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE black and white, so I will be booking in here some time soon.
