Mito Q is a new range of anti-aging skincare and supplements supporting mitochondria, heralding a new era in youthifying beauty products.
Everyone over 30 suffers some level of mitochondrial dysfuncton, according to Catherine O’Keefe, one of the founders of a new range of skincare and supplements that target mitochondria in the body.
Mito Q is considered by some to be a breakthrough in skincare and health. It is a patented anti-oxidant that targets mitochondria in each and every one of our cells.
Scientists in New Zealand have been working on the technology for 15 years, and trials are showing it can help with just about every condition in our bodies.
“Mitochondrial function declines as we age. From our thirties, it declines at about 10% per year, and the ageing process accelerates. It is most noticeable on our skin as our skin cells no longer have the energy to produce sufficient collagen and elastin together with the energy to fight environmental aggressors,” Catherine explains.
The theory is that supporting the mitochondria in the cells increases the energy and health of every cell, and therefore slows down the ageing process, gives the body more energy and keeps the cells stronger in the face of everything from pollution to illness or disease.
As well as a supplement range, there is a range of Mito Q skincare that promises to energise and re-activate the skin. It is fragrance free, not tested on animals and doesn’t have any irritants, just a cellular, radiant system to support the skin.
The products use airless technology, are anti-inflammatory and help smooth and calm the skin. It has been tested at the London College of Dermatology with positive results.
Used with the supplement, results are incredible. Given mitochondria are in every one of our cells, supporting the mitochondria both from the inside and outside of the body supports the body’s whole system, and delivers renewed energy to every cell in our bodies.
This doesn’t replace a balanced diet and exercise, but it does give the body extra support.
I’m giving the whole system a go – will let you know what I think.
